What does this mean to you?
On 5 May 2021, You will no longer be required to have a Concealed Carry Permit to Carry a Loaded Concealed firearm in the state of Utah.
Things to Note:

It is ILLEGAL to carry a firearm on ANY public or private school premises, including charter schools and religious schools (kindergarten through 12th-grade schools) AND public or private institution of higher education (colleges and universities) unless you have a valid Utah concealed firearm permit.

It is ILLEGAL to have a firearm, other than a handgun, loaded inside a vehicle unless you have a valid Utah concealed firearm permit.

It is ILLEGAL to carry ANY firearm in any State prohibited areas or Federal prohibited areas.

It is ILLEGAL to carry ANY firearm in any other state, subject to the laws of that state unless you have a valid Utah concealed firearm permit.

A valid Utah concealed firearm permit is still required to exempt you from paying the $7.50 background check fee when purchasing a firearm from a Federal Firearms License (FFL) dealer in Utah.
